SOURCE: does the Maytag LSE7806ACE require a 220 plug?

If you hook it up to 120 volts (by connecting L2[red] to common [white] the dryer will operate, but your heating element will only produce 25% of the heat it would on a 220v circuit. The drying time would be about 3 hours, and the auto dry setting may not work. Heat difference is about 5000 watts of heat on 220v, vs 1250 watts on 120v circuit.

SOURCE: Maytag LSG7800AAW Dryer not working

Its Either One Of Two Problems If Its Electric Its The Thermostat but if its gas it can be either the thermostat or the igniter. If its gas you can watch the igniter or listen to hear if its lighting. If it lights its the thermostat cause if the thermostat is malfunctioning it will turn the gas off when it doesn't detect the flame. It turns the gas off to prevent your home from filling with gas. Hope this helps.
Thanks For Choosing Fixya
Sincerely,
Michael Scott

Is the motor blown when dryer only clicks when turned on?

Rarely is it the motor. Check power to the unit, Full 220? Otherwise it is in the safety management... The only way to resolve is to follow the power through the system. Switches, limiters, and mostly connection are suspect.

If you are not absolutely 100% comfortable working around 220 volts, do not attempt this surgery. A small mistake can kill you.

Just bought a new (old) house and the Maytag stackable w/d stayed. The dryer doesn't heat up at all. We've cleared the vents, but still no heat.

Check that you have 220 volts. or see that the timer is not set to Air Fluff ( no Heat)
you may have a bad thermostat, or a broken
heater coil. or a broken belt.

I Like to know in what vltage that dryer works? 110 or 220?

this is 220, only small apartment sized machines are 110.
the 220 supplies one circuit for the heat and one for the motor to turn the drum

I have a old Maytag Stackable W/D combo breaker tripped and I cant restart. Is there a reset breaker on the unit? If so where is it?

If it has one it will be a small red button toward the rear of the motor. You may also want to make sure that "both" fuses are good in the circuit box. 220 volt machines use 2 fuses as opposed to the 1 for a 110 volt machine.

I have a maytag washer/dryer single unit stacker that works fine except the dryer does not give off any heat at all.

Start with resetting breaker dryer tumbles with 110 but needs 220 to turn on element. If still no heat might have a bad element.

I had the same problem, take the easy rout first and check for obstructions in your venting. Mine was clogged and it shut itself down (to protect itself?)
