The printer uses formed paper with a leader page that is about 1/2 the length of the regualr paper. That being said, every morning, when one of my users prints to the printer it does not print right. It starts printing on the leader page instead of advancing to the top of form. After that first print out, it will properly advance past the leader to the top of form. The printing program is designed to advance past the leader and start at the right spot, which it does everytime except the first time in the morning. It seems to me that there is some type of power save mode that wakes up when it recieves the first set of commands and all the printer does is wake up, but not advance the paper with the issued commands.
The users current work around is to print 2 of the same job on the first print out of the day. I am looking for a way to resolve this.
Anyone have any ideas on what is going on?
