Make sure the power to the printer is turned "on" ; when you lift the cover to the printer cartridge housing, the cartridge carrier will move to the center of the housing making it accessible to remove the old cartridges- then insert the new ink cartridges after properly removing all the packing tape from them..

SOURCE: cartridges do not move into position for changing

Unplug printer, wait a couple of minutes, plug back in and try again. They have had problems with this model. You may also be able to slide the cartridges over with your finger slowly.

Hi, my canon MP250 is displaying the error P08 and error 5200 on the computer. Can you help me please

Start with printer powered off
1. Open cover of printer and verify that the ink cartridge carriage is not in the center of the printer. Leave cover open.
2. Unplug the electrical cord from the printer and wait 30 seconds.
3. Plug electrical cord back in, when ink cartridge carriage moves to the center of the printer quickly unplug the electrical cord again. This should leave the ink cartridge carriage in the center of the printer so you can get to it.
4. Lift up the gray arm that surrounds the ink cartridges.
5. Remove the entire ink cartridge holder (not just the ink cartridges). It will lift out easily as a unit. Lower the gray arm that you lifted to remove the cartridge holder.
6. Close printer cover. Plug electricity back in.
7. There should be a message about checking the ink cartridge on the display (I can't remember exactly what it said but it was something like that).
8. Open printer, lift the gray arm that surrounds the ink cartridge area and reinsert the ink cartridge holder (with the ink cartridges in it). Lower the gray arm.
9. Close printer cover.
10. The display should appear normal now, and you should be able to print again.

Where can I find carteidge holders for BJC-80 Cannon printer

Hello JBM,

Please press the cartridge button and the cartridge holder moves to the center. Gently press and pull the front cover toward you. Press the green tab on the front left edge of the BJ Cartridge cartridge holder. This releases the BJ cartridge. Lift the entire cartridge out of the printer. If installing a new BJ cartridge, take it out of its protective packaging. Peel off the protective foil, and lift the cartridge out. Lift off the orange cap from the print head. Then remove the orange tape.

I removed The deskjet ink cartridges(56/57) in my HP5650 to replace them with new ones. However, I am unable to install the new ones as the two bottom trays to hold them will not move. Can you help Joe...

Usually when you open the cover the cartridge holder should move to the center that will allow you to install the cartridge. If this is not the case you could force it to move by:
  1. Opening the cover as if you're installing a new cartridge.
  2. Unplug the power cord
  3. Lift the cartridge holder enough height to allow you to slide it on to the center
  4. After sliding, you should be able to install the new cartridge.
  5. After the installation close the cover and power up your printer.

I WANT TO CHANGE A CARTRIDGE BEFORE THE INK IS COMPLETELY OUT. THEREFORE I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO CENTER THE CARTRIDGE HOLDER

Hi

To change the cartridge open the printer's front cover when it is ON. After opening the carriage will move to the central location on the chrome bar. Wait for approx. 30 seconds and switch off the power to the printer. Now replace the empty cartridge with a new one.

Ink is jamed so tight can not get out

Please follow the steps given below:

1. Unplug all cables from the back of the printer.
2. Open the front cover and look above the steel rod. You should see a black belt with rubber teeth on it. (On some models, the cartridge access is very small, but the belt should still be visible.)
3. Take the top part of the belt and move it gently to the right. The cartridges should come towards the center.
4. If the cartridges will not move, tilt the printer on its back and try moving the belt again.
5. If it still will not move, try putting your finger inside the area where the cartridges are stuck (with the printer still on its back), and push them firmly against the cartridge carrier holder while you move the belt with your other hand.
6. Once the cartridge carrier is in the middle, please make sure that the cartridges are snapped firmly into the cartridge carrier. Note: Make sure that these cartridges are the correct models for your printer. Once the cartridges are seated properly, they should not become loose inside the carrier.
7. Plug all the connections back in and power the printer up.
8. Open the front cover again to see if the cartridges slide to the center.
