Question about Pioneer DEH-P760MP CD Player

Monitor Won't turn on - Remainder of unit is fully operational

I did a professional install (Tweeter) on the DEH-P760MP and the unit was working fine for 3 months. All speaker wire from the headunit was reran with stinger expert 12 guage to a set of 4 Focal speakers (approx $900/pair). The install was in a 2000 Camaro SS Convertible. All Bose factory amps were removed. After 2 months of flawless operation, the "monitor" decided to no longer turn on. All dials and buttons still have the illumination and the rest of the unit is 100% operational. Sound quality remains unchanged. Does anyone know if this unit has a blackout mode that turns the screen off, and if so, how to turn it back on if I accidentally turned if off with the remote control? Otherwise, I am at a loss as to how the screen could fail. Unit is 3 months old and was manufactured March of 2007 according to the Serial Number.

This happens because the contact between the sceen and the unit are dirty, try to clean the contacts, I had the same problem and it happens because the motorized screen is moving all the time when you need to change a cd or have to take the screen off from the unit.

This sounds like the voltage regulator in the alternator of you car is the problem - take it to an auto repair electrician and get him to check it, as this may cause all sort of other problems too Hope this helps, please post again if the regulator is not the problem (though i'm fairly sure) and we can hopefully help more :)
