Was dropped and now no power light comes on can I fix it

It could be that the hard drive is probably loose and is no longer connected to the enclosure sata controller. You can open the enclosure to see if something came loose. If it did then reconnect the parts and try to power it up. Worse case, you will have to get another enclosure for the hard drive should the enclosure is no longer operable. This is to say there was no damage down to the hard drive. Make sure warranty has expired before voiding warranty by opening enclosure.

Attempting to transfer info on hard drive installed in 2.5sata enclosure to laptop

If you are only transferring data and not installed programs or the complete operating system, just open an explore window each in the storage drive and the target hard drive side-by-side, select all the data you want to transfer, and drag and drop it onto your drive (in whatever folder you want to make). Done in a few minutes.

You may need to open the enclosure and install the drive into a new working enclosure, that is assuming that the hard drive itself is not at fault.

Broken mini usb contection

If your talking about the cable, replace the cable. If your talking about on the external hard drive, either replace the drive if it's under warranty or go buy a new external hard drive enclosure, open the samsung HDD, put the drive in the new enclosure. Opening the enclosure will typically void the warranty.

How to change a pc hardrive

It is actually pretty simple to do. First of all, make sure you have a backup.
1. Open you computer case. You will likely have to open both sides, unless you have a hard drive enclosure, so check your computer manual on how to do so.2. Pull out the power and SATA cables (will be red and thin). You will need them when you install the new hard drive.3. Unscrew the hard drive. If it is in a hard drive enclosure, it will likely be held by thumbscrews. Unscrew the thumbscrews holding the enclosure to the case and then unscrew the hard drive.4. Place the new hard drive into the computer or enclosure and screw in. If in an enclosure, screw the drive into that and then enclosure back into the computer.5. Plug in the cables that you took out of the old hard drive.6. Close the case, install operating system if it was replacing the hard drive that had it, and you should be good to go.

1tb LaCie drive turns itself off and on randomly

It probably is about to "die" -- copy all the files from it to your computer, before it does completely quit.

Then, exercise the warranty to get a replacement.

Or, open the enclosure, remove the disk-drive, buy a new, compatible disk-drive, install into the enclosure, to "revive" your external storage device.

I gather this is a laptop hard drive we are talking about? yes. So If your talking about the plate that is screwed to to the drive to mount it into the laptop & its held on with 2 or 4 screws, then yes but the hard drive itself must not be opened up.
