Fridgedaire CFEF372EC, right front element (dual) won't come on

I have a fridgedaire CFEF372EC and the right front element (dual) won't come on. I was told that the problem was the surface element switch so I replaced it but that did solve the problem. I tested the element by putting an ohmmeter on the terminals to the element assembly under the cooktop and got resistance (80ohms), from what I've read this would indicate the element is ok...or is it? . I'm uncertain what to do next, could it be the logic board?

80 ohms sounds too high for me. 2.7 Amps at 220V. Check a new one. I would expect under 15 Ohms when at room temp for an element. Check a new element for the correct resistance.

Fridgedaire CFEF372EC range, right front surface element (dual) wont come on

This is from AppliancePartsPros.com:

"Take off the cover to your terminal block (where the plug wire connects) and use a multimeter to check for the correct voltage to the unit. Red to white and black to white should be 120vac. Black to red should be 240vac. Your L1 circuit (the black one) is dead so when you turn on one of the burners, the L2 circuit feeds into the L1 illuminating the display. It may be a loose connection at the block or inside the outlet. Sometimes it is the breaker that is bad. Try tripping them closed then back on a few times in case one has stuck open. Your range should work fine, once it has the proper voltage."

Can't vouch for it but, if you've already checked the control and the element, this sounds reasonable. Hope it helps.

Could this be a User Interface,Board 316239500 part problem? or a Electronic Control Board part problem?

Normally, the E.O.C. (electronic oven control) only controls power the ehe bake/broil side for the oven. Doesn't control power to the element. If you have already replaced the infinite switch to that eye, the element itself could be faulty. There is a sensor inside the element that is supposed to communicate with the infinite switch to determine the proper cycling temp for what you selected.

Control for dual element has to be wiggled just so -so to shut element off, what do I need to fix it? Heats perfectly, shutting it off is my only problem.

The control you're wiggling (infinite switch)needs replacement. Model# and the position of the dual element (right or left, rear or front) is needed to get the part number.

If the surface elements work your ERC is bad.(clock).
If the surface elements do not work check the circuit for 220 volts.

Small burner of dual surface(right front) stopped working.

Does yours have the (small large burner switch)? If so, try switching it back and forth. It could be defective or your small burner element is bad.

If the burner is scorched or pitted, go ahead and replace it. New burners can cost anywhere from $10 to $40. Otherwise, check the burner's electrical connections to make sure there is solid contact. Jiggle the burner in its socket. If it is loose, then remove the burner—most just pull out of the electrical socket, although some are mounted with a screw. (Always unplug the range before removing a burner.) Slightly spread the two terminals apart for a tighter connection. If it still doesn't work, then replace the faulty burner with a functioning burner of the same size. If that burner works, then replace the bad burner with a new one. If it doesn't, then inspect the electrical socket for damage. If it's charred, replace the socket. To do so, remove the screws that secure the socket to the range and then unscrew the range wires. Attach the wire connections of the new socket to the range wires and reassemble the burner.

JBP84TOHWW GE Electric Range Large Dual Element Not Working

similar problem after a power outage. Display would be blank until I turned ON an element (after which display would light, but no power to the respective element. No elements would heat even thought the dial shows power). Turning OFF the element would blank the display. I reseated the power cord and cycled the 50a basement breaker for 5 mins. Everything now works, but not sure for how long.

Help in Removing Frigidaire Smooth Cooktop Burner

What holds the spring assembly onto the bar assembly is just two small prongs. Use a pliers on the end that protrudes through the bar, squeezing the prongs together, and it should come out fairly easily.
