SOURCE: Sony KV-24FV300 changing video input by itself - possessed?

It sounds like the tact switches (on the control panel) are defective.....This usually happens after some one cleans the screen with a spray and it drips onto the board, Or they went bad on their own.

Source changes by itself when watching tv.

Check your buttons on the TV . Sounds like input or source button ( which ever one they call it ) is pushed in & stuck . Only way to make sure would be to disconnect it & see if it still changes inputs .

I cant figure out how to put the tv on video 1

With the remote in TV mode, the input button on the remote should change the source (TV, AV1, etc. depending on the TV).

If the input button doesn't work, try a different code for your TV manufacturer. A code that controls the basic functions of the remote may not control the full set of functions of the TV. For some TVs, you can change the source from within the Menu. (It depends on the TV. I didn't notice if there was a Menu button that will open the TV menu on the RCA RCU600M.)

If none of the codes work, check if your TV has a Source or Input button on the unit. See if that button works.

If you have a different remote, please indicate the model.

I hope this helps.

No appearance if i switches on the t.v

does the power indicator light com on? Try switching the inputs with your remote. If you are hooked up to HDMI 1 ,for example, the tv input source needs to be changed. If you are coming from cable input, then the tv will need to be switched to the cable source.

Tv won't switch to "tv"

Your T.V. is programmed to store the last input you've selected. You have to manually switch it back to your T.V. channel input after each time you switch it to HDMI or any other input even when you turn it off. The "Source" or "Input" button on your original T.V. remote will change this.

Video input source is changed by the buttons:
1. Video Source
2. Input
3. TV/Video
4. Source

one of those four on the remote some where.

Also, chances are your TV itself will have one of those buttons somewhere.
Usually pressing it will either cycle through the inputs or bring up a selection of them, which is usually navigated by either arrow buttons on your remote or the channel up and down keys.
Lemme know how it goes.

DIstorted picture for 480p input only

Many set have two differant convergance settings one for 480 and one for1080 this is because when it changes mode the set runns a differant frequencys, what may have happened is you have a cold solder joint somewhere that takes this fifteen minutes to corect itself, might want to start by resoldering the convergance and high voltage curcuits
