Question about Compaq Computers & Internet
There will 2 possible solutions.
If logo not appears, then most probably, the display is faulty.
if you are getting a logo, then try to perform the following steps :
1. take out the battery and make sure that nothing is connected to the laptop (not even charger).
while battery is out, press and hold the power button for at least 15-20 seconds to remove the static.
once you done with that, place the battery back to its place and as soon as you press the power button, start pressing F8 key on the keyboard.
if you get advanced boot options, then select Last Known Good Configuration using your keypad as mouse will not work and then check
if you didn't get the advanced boot options, then see if you can get in the BIOS.
if you are able to enter in the BIOS, the load BIOS as default and then check.
If you are not able to get the BIOS, then the computer is died.
You can enter in the BIOS by pressing F2 or Del key on the keyboard at startup.
