Question about Moultrie MFH-DGS-200 Digital Camera

Camera on and SD working - but not taking pictures

I borrowed a friend's mfh-dgs-d65ir and it isn't taking pictures. The SD chips is fine. The battery says 77% and two days in a row, the only photos are of me setting it up. Then it goes to sleep and doesn't seem to wake up. I've seen 4 deer within 10 yards of it.

I changed the batteries and put it into IR test mode. The movement sensor is only good for ~10 feet. Glad I only borrowed this and didn't buy one.

Thanks for the response. For the 65IR, I did not see a setting either in the menu or in the manual for setting AF to any distance. Where would I find that?

Check flash is not obscured by the case
Check AF is set to infinity or [set by range]
Ensure target is within AF zone...might be aiming too low in order for it to register movement.

Note if sd card is installed is on the screen wont advance past that DGS 160. I have tried different SD card, hard booted, changed batteries, when I plug into computer interface, it doesn't recognize ...

Do you mean the DGS I-60? What size memory card are you using? The I-60 works with SD cards, 2GB or smaller. It will not work with higher-capacity SDHC cards.

I-40 camera will not go to picture mode and start taking pictures

Have you done the time/date setup? Online manual says it goes auto after 4 minutes, but perhaps the date/time need to be setup first? Online manual here in case you lost your book :)

Buy MFH-DGS-100v2 (new or used)?

Jason I have a Moultrie MFH-DGS-100v2 I don't use. I've had it about two years, but haven't been able to put much time into off-season scouting. Contact me at russmanc17@yahoo.com if you are still interested in purchasing one.

Sd card locked

Don't worry guys if you can change the tire on yout car you can fix the SD CARD LOCKED PROBLEM.
You will need a set of mini phillips screwdrivers (everyone has a set in there box)
Open camera door note the tiny scews I think 4~5 of them also two screws that hold the back-up watch battery. remove all of them.
there are more screw inside just take your time and find them.
Carefully lift out the guts and you will see a set of contacts along the side of the SD CARD SLOT.
You can slide your sd card in and out of the slot and note that the contact point open and close.
the reason your card reads LOCKED is because the contact points are dirty I used fine sandpaper
to clean them up after I done this the camera worked perfectly again. The whole job took all of 15 min to preform.
