Try with another cartridge first.

Printer may have gears with broken teeth.

Oiling will not help.

Pump motor stalls in my HP printer

When an inkjet printer is making "awful noises" it means that there is either a paper jam or the carriage can't move properly. Remove all paper and check for a paper jam - if this is not the problem, turn off the printer and see if you can move the print cartridge carrier by hand. If it is hard to move, clean the shiny carriage rod with a cloth and put just a drop of light oil on it. Move the carriage back and forth and clean it again - repeat until it moves easily and add a final drop of oil to the rod.

Making a god awful noise when i start/run it.. what could be causing it and how do i fix it

Sounds like your machine needs an EXORCISM. I am not exactly sure what a god awful noise is, but to the real solution, you may attempt to remove the rear cover and attempt to oil all of your rotation parts. Be careful not to lubricate any belts that you see as this can cause a loud squealing noise. I just had to put that first sentence in there. Never heard anyone use that statement before.

High pitched squeel

Squealing is a bad wash motor- it will need replacing. Nothing is blocked here.

X5470 lexmark has paper jam now makes squealing noise when I use it!

Try this. Remove any paper jams, take out all sheets of paper and remove all cartridges from the printer. Close the cover. Unplug the printer from the power source. Plug it back in after 10-15 seconds. When the printer's ready, re-insert the cartridges. The printer will print an alignment page. Load just 5 sheets of paper only. Let it print the alignment page all the way through without cancelling it. If printer is not making the squealing noise, problem resolved. If it's still making the noise, the printer's mechanism somehow got affected by the paper jam now. If that's the case, any mechanical/hardware problem in the printer, it's better to ask assistance from Lexmark. If printer is damaged already, and it's still within warranty, they might send you one for replacement. Good luck!

My aprilair's humidifier motor began to make loud squealing noise

Put some lubricant, oil, WD40, etc. on shaft of fan. Spin the fan with your finger and work the oil into the shaft until the fan spins freely again. Reassemble and problem will be gone for 2-3 weeks. Repeat again until you want to replace the fan motor.

My motor is makeing a sqeeling sound, it turns easy enough but squeels can u wd 40??

I don't work on gas dryers normally but, It may not be your motor making the squealing noise, it is probably your drum rollers making the noise.
You need to lube the shaft of the drum rollers with a good grade of machine oil like 3 in One oil...while you are at it you can lube the motor also if you feel that is necessary...
I would not use WD-40 to lube the motor or drum rollers it does not have the "staying power" that 3 in One oil has and you will be re lubing again soon, also it can creep its way into the motor and cause an electrical short to the motor.

Loud rumbling noise with slight vibration

Normally the noise you hear is caused by the drum rollers having flat spots on them or needing lubricant.
If this is what is wrong It will make a kind of thumping noise.
When they need lubricant they will normally make a squealing noise also. You would lube the shaft and bearing area of the roller, using a good machine oil...something like "3 in One" oil.

The outside unit is making a squealing noise. It's every now and then; not constant. Just started today. What's wrong? The fan is running fine. The air inside is cool. Just a high piercing squeal every now...

sounds like its more than likely the fan motor. the bearings in the motor are notoriuos for making a squeeling noise. there arent any other parts that would make this noise. unless youre a special case. i doubt it. if youre mechanically inclined there are ways of checking the motor. If you have an amp meter you can check the amp draw on the fan motor. if it reads higher than on the label of the motor then the motor needs to be replaced. if the amp draw is good the you can try to drop some oil in the motors lube port.

Dictaphone 2710 noise problem

This squealing noise is caused by the capstan motor. The bearings have dried up and it's metal on metal - causing an awful squealing noise. As soon as you put in a cassette, the motor begins to spin - causing the squealing noise.
