Do you have control voltage, usually 24 volts to the relay or relays? If so the relay does not respond it is bad. If not you need to find out why by working backwards thought your control voltage system's wiring to find cause. I hope that gives you a place to start.

Frigidaire AC model LRA187MT2. Compressor runs nonstop - does not matter what the temperature setting is. When put into fan mode displays H1 instead of the temperature. Filter is clean.

You probably have a circuit board failure. On the board there are micro-relays that control power to the compressor. And in that relay the switch that is normally open is stuck closed.

I have a 96 cabriolet, and the AC controls are cable operated. Check your cables under the dash. there i a button for the ac, right next to the recirculate button separate from the dials. If that doesn't kick in your AC, check relays and fuses, and then low pressure switch, assuming you already know that you are full of freon.

I have a ice machine m/n HZB-15/BF It will not make ice The compressor isn't coming on.It cycles to fill the water pan and then it shuts off.

Do u have ur manual I'm a tech working on this style? Does the lil fan come on ? It starts by turning the small synchronous motor and closes the top small relay on the opposite side .that is where I found the problem in this one the pin on the motor shaft was rusted away so it was not closing the relay and would go no further if the compressor is the problem it is either the relay on the board so u have to replace the board or the overload potential relay on the side of compressor most likely that p relay or the comp its skip board cross fingers remove relay with no power to machine push on test compressor in ohms resistance if it doesn't read ol meaning open line between any two combination of the three terminals it's good electrically with power see if u have 125 volts to the two leads that go to the potential relay

check the relay for the airmatic compressor it is on the passenger side in the engine compartment right next to the hood hinge. pull the cover off and its the 3rd relay back from the front. the relay might be sticking closed but have it checked before it causes the compressor to burn itself out

1. GE is replacing many defective boards free of charge. Check with them to see if you are qualified.
2.The start relay should be closed when refrigerator is de-energized.
3. Still a possible bad compressor or compressor start components. Test performed by service tech on compressor is usually done with a starting test cord. Would answer many questions quickly.

If the compressor doesn't run , but the fan next to it does , then the board is the problem . If you can remove the board , and turn it over , look under the small black boxes , but on the soldered side , and you should see a spot where the solder has heated and moved away from the small terminal . "Resolder" this spot , and reinstall the board and the compressor should come on .

Condensor on compressor wont engage,,,1996 mercury gran marquis

relay should be located under the hood next to the battery. There is a fuse panel with many different relays. Check in your manual under "roadside emergencies" and find the relay for the A/C compressor. very common problem.

Air Conditioning relay

There are 3 relays along the side of the engine compartment close to the battery. Next to these 3 relays are 2 more relays directly in front of the battery. Of the 3 relays, the one closest to the battery is the ac compressor relay. The ac condensor fan motor relay is the one on the left directly in front of the battery and is next to the ac compressor relay.
