When a cordless phone comes up as searching, it's looking for the base station. If all the others work, it's probably be the handset is defective.

My LG tv keeps sayig NOT PROGRAMMED

Try a hard reset first. Unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 30 minutes or so. This procedure must make it a hard reset. If it do not help you, be sure that its main system control memory IC is faulty. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Viewing it in "Mosaic" or "Magazine" will make surf easy. Pull up older posts. Surf the site with patience. Do a search by type in the brand name of your device at its search box and press "Enter".

No link to base, move closer to base, try again. This is the message on my phone and will not work, this phone is about 6yrs old, any ideas, I replaced the battery a couple of months ago. Please Help...

Unplug the power and phone cords from the wall outlet and let it sit for 30 minutes or more "the longer the better" This may reset the processor ic back into normal operation, if it fails! the only solution is replace your phone system, because the repair to your phone would not be cost effective.

After i do the factory reset, auto search channel fail to active.

Hello,

Try to unplug the cable that leads to the antenna, turn off your television, unplug it and allow it to rest for about 30 minutes, then turn it on and plug back the antenna to it, then you try to auto search channels.

Ensure your cable is receiving signals from the antenna. Try to use the cable on another television.

Take care

Our Panasonic system shows "No link to base walk closer" for any of the handsets even when 2 inches from the base. Seems the base has stopped communicating.

Often times when this happens try putting the phone back in the base unplug from the wall for about 30 seconds plug back in wait about a minute then try again. I have seen where you may need to also try unplugging the battery from the phone for a minute put it back in and place in the base. Its a communication problem with the phone to base connections and resetting the power often clears this up.
Hope this helps!

Phone won't hang up

I solved this exactly problem by doing this:
1) unplug base station from phone line
2) unplug base station from power cube
3) open each phone and disconnect battery (do not replace phone in charger; just let it sit)
4) wait 30 minutes (per instructions from Uniden)
5) reconnect batteries in phone sets
6) reconnect power cube to base station
7) reconnect base station to phone line
8) test: make a call. Hang up. Wait one minute. Pick up line and see if you get a dial tone.
(Basically you're "rebooting" the system. You don't know where the fault lies, so you power down every component to make sure you get it. The '30 minutes' is longer than I'm used to, but after being on hold with Uniden tech support for 20 minutes and finally getting through, the instructions from them were very clear: AT LEAST 30 minutes. OK! I did it - and it worked!)

Xerox workcentre m20i power off

First off try unplugging it and leaving it unpluged for 30 minutes. Not just turned off, but unplugged, then plug it back in and see if it works. There are filter capicitors in the low voltage power supply that sometimes have to sit with power removed for 30 minutes before they discharge and allow the power supply to turn on.
Sounds weird but I have seen it fix a dead machine probably 50 times or more. If that doesn't restart then you will have to replace the power supply. If that is the case let me know and I can tell you where to get it from and ho\w to replace it.
Try leaving it unpluged for 30 minutes. not less than 30 minutes.

Not Registered Problem

I had the same problem and I JUST fixed it! First, unplug the power to the main base (answering machine) for 20 seconds. Plus it back in. Put the phone that says "not registered" in the main answering machine. It will say "press the find handset for 4 seconds". Do that. It will run thru a series of stuff and will find the handset. It works! Rich (jambones.com)
