Question about Sony Ericsson Cell Phones
How do I turn off predictive text on my sony xperia z cell phone
Go to 'Settings'. Select 'Language & input'. Click on the spanner and screwdriver icon next to 'Xperia keyboard'. Select 'Text input settings'. Select 'Word suggestions'. Select in pop-up menu 'I don't want any help when writing, not even suggestions'.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Predictive text (or T9) is usually turned off by holding * or # for few seconds, or you may need to go to message settings and turn it off there. What kind of phone are you using?

Took me a while to work out. Hold down the hash key (bottom right on the keypad) when in the text window and select English from the languages that come up.
