Fuses either work or do not work like a light bulb. Problems lies within the tv set. There could be a bad solder joint on a board that acts up when a certain internal temperature is reached OR there could be a bad capacitor in the power supply that after a certain period of operation stops working properly and the set shuts down.

If the set works fine when used as a regular tv, then the problems lies within the play station circuits.

I put alternator and replaced battery and now will not stay running cuts off when turning on Air conditioner headlights dont work

You did take terminals off battery before replacing alternator? May have blown a couple fuses maybe. Check fuses to lights and air cond. Don't know what kind of car you have if it stalls then you wait a few minutes and it starts back up it could be timing sensor. Need more info.

How do you check for blown fuses

If the TV gets on, there are no blown fuses inside. Check your power outlet for any loose contacts. It could also be a problem with the power cord. If these are ok, It is actually going into protection mode, due to some board/component failure. This needs the attention of a service technician.

I tried to install a headunit into my 1997 eclipse. Now the dash lights and domelights and radio doesn't work what do you think the problem could be? Ive checked most of the fuses and they seem to be fine.

recheck the fuses one has to be blown, also recheck your wiring to insure it is all hooked up properly, when checking fuses dont just check the obvious ones just check them all it may take a few extra minutes but will eliminate them as a possibilty

WHEN U HIT THE POWER BUTTON IT TRYS TO COME ON THEN CUTS OFF

it the power light comes on for 1/2 second and then turns off, you have bad convergence chips, part number stk 392-570, or stk 393-110, you also have one or 2 blown 5 amp pico fuses, common repair, but you could not do it yourself unless you are a qualified tv repairman.

Try it without the battery hooked up and only the Ac Adapter hooked up.

If the psp still cuts out after 3-5 seconds then that means its a problem with the main board.

If the psp doesn't cut out then that means the battery is either bad or to much power is drained out of it and needs to be recharged fully.

You also can still try to try a different ac adapter just to be sure if the cord is to tangled up cause tangled up wires can cause the wires to break inside of the rubber casing.

Origiannly had my son's PS# hooked up to our HD TV

You must reset your PS3 in order to accept the new TV configuration.

  • If the video output settings on the PLAYSTATION®3 do not match those of the cable or TV in use, there may be no picture. If the screen goes blank, turn off the system.
  • Then, with only the PLAYSTATION®3 and the TV connected, touch the system's power button for more than 5 seconds to turn the system back on. The video output settings will automatically be reset to the standard resolution.

You need to check the Fuse on the Power Wire and check the ground wire to see if has loosened up. Also check Power Wire as well.

    Sound cuts out- cable tv

I had the same problem when I installed the new HD Comcast cable box (DCH3200), initially with my CRT through RF, then with my HDTV through HDMI. Problem solved when I replaced the box with the Comcast RNG110 I got from my local Comcast. It is a neat miniaturized box and it works extremely well on HD. There is no power switch on the box so before activation do not forget to put it on with the remote (cable, power, the green light will come on).
