Can you specify WHEN and perhaps what was on the screen? What were you doing when the problem started?

N1996 motherboard 4 fast bios beeps

The beeps actually refer to memory not just RAM, it could be the memory on your graphics card or the cache ram on your processor. Or it could be a compatibility issue between memory sticks.

The Dell 1357 laptop has Vista Home Premium and is as it was purchased. When booting, the computer beeps rapidly for about 30 seconds, displays an opportunity to boot into Vista, and then beeps for another...

If it is actually booting into Vista, it sounds like maybe you have a stuck key. Turn the computer off and press every key a few times and see if any of them feel "stuck". Even if they don't, pressing them may have released any sticking they had. I would try that first.

Hi, just swaped out a harddrive now my Mainboard *4 core Duel Sata2* does a single beep, pause then rapid beeps. can you help

Please count the number of rapid beeps. 3 short beeps is a memory error. 8 short beeps is a display memory error. 9 short beeps is a ROM Bios checksum error and 10 beeps is a CMOS shut down read/write error.

The solution will depend on the error. For a memory error, remove all of the memory sticks then reinsert each one separately and reboot the computer. If the board continues to beep 3 times, that stick is bad or the memory slot has failed.

The complete beep code list is provided here: http://www.asrock.com/support/qa/TSDQA-01.pdf .

I hope this helps.

My son's acer 5738 laptop has a rapid beeping noise when turned on and the keyboard is locked? Can you recommend something? thx

Rapid beeping sometimes indicates a stuck key on the keyboard. check all the keys to see if something is jammed, or if a certain key is not as responsive as the others.

I the keys are not stuck or jammed, and if you are brave enough, remove the bottom pannel and see if you are able to remove the ram. Turn the system on without any ram installed and see if the rapid beeping still occurs.

If the rapid beeping stops with the ram removed, you may need to purchase a replacement.

When I power up computer, I get 2 very rapid beeps, pause, 6 beep

it depends on the beeping
but i guess it's ur graphic card
make sure that the card is firmly in place and also check the memory modules.

Left turn signal beeps very fast and signal light not working, now is working fine and so is signal light

When your turn signal goes out it tends to blink VERY rapidly before burning out, It's a nice way to let you know before hand that you need to replace the bulb soon.

Short but rapid beep code when powering up emachine

The beep code most likely is either video card or memory.
If you have a video card or can borrow one that you know it works try it first, if that doesn't resolve your issue try the memory.
You can take the memory out and have it tested to see if it is defective.
Go to this site and get the Beep Codes, http://www.computerhope.com/beep.htm
I hope this helps.
Good Luck.
