Blower Fan runs after power outage

Napoleon Direct Vent Millivolt System, Model GD36NTR, Serial No Gd/CDV36-12407. After a power outage the Blower Fan runs until it is disconected from electrical outlet located inside the fireplace. The Remot Model Acumen TX-H will not reset the Blower Fan only disconnecting and reconnectiong the electrical plug resets the Blower. Consequently Blower Fan will run for weeks if we are away from home. Have previously installed surge protection of fireplace circuit but problem still exists. Could a thermal switch be missing or defective / missing. How can I identify this component on this fireplace? Thanks

This is a problem related to a Natural Gas Fireplace manufactured by Napoleon. It is not Computer or Dryer related.

SOURCE: Casablanca fan is not working!!

The controler board has gone out due to either a power surge, overheating or too much wattage in the lamps. There are two types of of controlers and both are subject to this kind of failure. Here's a troubleshooting link

SOURCE: Onkyo TX-NR905 Protection Circuit Activated

The problem is not with the inputs. This unit is in protect because a problem has been detected in the output section. Try disconnecting the speaker wires and turning it on. If the unit remains on, there is a short in one of the speaker wires. If the unit still shuts down, there is an internal problem that will require repair. It sounds like this is a new piece. If so, it should be covered under warranty.

Keep us posted,
Dan

Need a blower

My guess is that you will need a GZ550 found HERE.
Alternatively, you could use a universal fan kit like THIS ONE.
The universal fireplace fan kit will be an easier installation and utilizes an electronic speed control.

Toyostove Laser 73 has EE8 code after we had an electrical outage. The blower fan is not stuck. Could the loss of power damage the fan motorr? Where do we purchase a new fan motor?

Probably wasn't so much the loss of electric power, as it was perhaps, a surge when it came back on that could have damaged the fan motor
.
You should be able purchase a new fan motor from the dealer your bought the heater from. Or if that's not an option, go to http://www.rinnai.us/ and search for a authorized dealer close to you. That way, you can be sure you're getting an OEM part.

Hope this helps resolve your problem.

if you tried direct power and still nothing then your fan needs to be replaced . there should be a a/c supply store near you . get the model - serial number on the fan or the unit itself to get the right fan for your unit . hope that helped

Empire wall heater with wall vent pilot light

It sounds like the gas valve is dropping out. Make sure the system is venting the exhaust(no restrictions). Then make sure all your wiring connections in the unit are tight. In a millivolt system if all wiring connections aren't tight and clean your circuit will drop in millivolts and the gas valve will drop out. The gas valve requires a certain millivolt to stay open. I hope I was of some assistance!! Good luck!!

There are 2 fuses on the mother board. You can go to the Toyotomi website download the Owners Manual and look at 49 and 50 in the parts list and picture.
