Push the little clips on the sides away from the ram and the ram should pop up to about a 45 deg angle. now it will easily come out.
Reverse to re-install (re-seat). Gently seat the ram contacts in position at an angle before pushing it down flat to lock in place with little clips.
Only goes in one way! Blow a little clean air in the socket to clear any dust or fibers first.

Check the seat rails for foreign objects. When you lock the seat in position, try pushing lever down to lock position. (If you pull up on lever to move seat, push it down) If it stays locked when lever is pushed down, check the spring that pulls the lever down.

My steering column is locked in the down position any suggestions?

Reach down under the center of the steering column assembly, centered on the column just below knee height is a lever that pulls down and away. Pull the lever, move the steering column back to where you want it then re-engage the lever until flush with the surrounding fascia panel.

HAVE A 1989 FORD F-150 WITH AUTO TRANS THAT YOU CAN'T SHIFT OUT OF THE "PARK" POSITION AT THE STEERING COLUMN. THE TRANY CAN BE SHIFTED AT THE TRANS WHEN LINKAGE IS DICONNECTED.I THINK THE...

What trans? AOD? This is 1992 F Series, all I have.

Shift Controls, Automatic Transmission The transmission shift control linkage or cable transfers the transmission operating mode from the selector lever to the transmission. The indicated transmission position on the steering column is transferred to a shift lever on the bottom of the steering column. On vehicles equipped with cable-operated shift systems, the indicated position of the transmission selector lever is transferred to the transmission through the shift cane, then to the cable, and down to the transmission manual shift lever at the transmission. On vehicles equipped with shift rod assemblies, the rod transfers the indicated transmission selector level position through a bell crank assembly to a control rod. The control rod transfers the indicated position to the transmission assembly.
----------------------------------------------
Automatic Transmission Manual Linkage Adjustments
  1. With the engine stopped and the parking brake applied, place the transmission selector lever at the steering column in the D (DRIVE position) for C6 applications and in the (D) (OVERDRIVE position) for AOD and E4OD applications, and hold against the D or (D) stop by applying a three-pound force to the selector lever knob.
  1. Loosen the shift rod adjusting nut at point A. Refer to the following illustrations.
  1. Shift the manual lever at the transmission into the (D) (overdrive) position for E4OD, by moving the lever all the way rearward, then forward two detents.
  1. With the selector lever and transmission manual lever in the(D) position, tighten the nut at point A to 17-24 Nm (12-18 ft-lb) torque. Use care to prevent motion between the stud and rod.
  1. Remove the three-pound force from the steering column selector lever knob.
  1. Operate the shift lever in all positions to make certain that the manual lever at the transmission is in full detent in all gear ranges. Re-adjust the linkage if required.
  1. On F-Super Duty Chassis Cab and Motorhome and Commercial Chassis recheck for correct operation of the automatic transmission selector indicator (PRN(D)21). Refer to Section 11-04A, Steering Column, Shift Rod Within Tube. ani_caut.gif CAUTION: Under no circumstances will it be permissible to adjust linkage in any position other than the(D) position for E4OD applications.
---------------------
Automatic Transmission Shift Cable Adjustment
  1. From inside the vehicle, place the column shift select lever in the DRIVE position (C6) of the OVERDRIVE (AOD and E4OD). Hang a three-pound weight on the selector lever.
  1. Raise vehicle on a hoist.
  1. Remove the shift cable from the transmission lever ball stud.
  1. Pull down the lock tab on the shift cable body.
  1. Position the transmission shift lever in the DRIVE position (C6) or the OVERDRIVE position (AOD and E4OD). This is three detents from the front-most lever position with the first position counting as one.
  1. Connect the cable end fitting to the transmission lever ball stud.
  1. Push up on the lock tab to lock the cable in the correctly adjusted position.
  1. Lower vehicle down from hoist and remove the three-pound weight from the column shift select lever.
  1. After making the adjustment, check for park engagement. Check the transmission control lever in all detent positions with the engine running to make sure correct detent/transmission actions. Readjust if necessary.

My canon MP480 keeps poping up a 5100 error

That error is a Carriage error, which means that the printer carriage (the bit that holds the cartridges) is unable to move or similar.

Make sure you've installed the cartridges correctly and that the grey lever that holds down the printhead is in the down and locked position.

You may find that you've installed the printhead incorrectly so worth pulling out the cartridges, removing the printhead and then reseating it so the lever goes down to a horizontal position. Then reinsert the cartridges.

Memory not recognized

Generally and issue with the RAM not being seated properly.

When inserting RAM, make sure the locking levers are in the full back position, the power us unplugged and the power button pressed and held for 10 seconds to release stored power in the motherboard. Align the ram with the keyway in the slot, then press down on the module with both thumbs until the locking levers snap up into the locked position UNASSITED (If you pull on the levers, then ram may not seat properly.

Connect power, turn on system

If the power was not properly drained from the system, the RAM may have been damaged.

I need help on how to replace bit on router craftsman style

You didn't state the model number. The older Craftsmen routers had a red lever lock on the top of the router, one position allows the spindle to turn, the other position locks the spindle. Here's the instruction for the older style routers:

  1. Unplug the tool.
  2. To lock the spindle press the red button in and slide it to the locked position.
  3. Unlock the height adjustment knob.
  4. Raise the router motor using the height adjustment collar until you can get a wrench onto the collet nut.
  5. Loosen the nut until it turns freely.
  6. The bit may still be locked in the spindle, tap it gently (not on the blade!).
  7. The bit will come loose in the spindle and can be removed.
  8. Replace the bit, tighten the nut snug but don't use excessive force.
  9. Unlock the spindle, returning the red lever/button to the free position.
  10. Adjust the height of the bit as you wish, then lock down the motor using the locking knob.

My brand new printer is displaying printer error code 5100 and will not print or recognise the ink not sure if this means the ink cartridges are faulty.

That error translates as a "Carriage error"... which means that the printer carriage (the bit that holds the cartridges) is unable to move or similar.

Check you've installed the cartridges correctly and that the grey lever that holds down the printhead, etc.. has been put in the down and locked position.

You may find that you've installed the printhead incorrectly so worth pulling out the cartridges, removing the printhead and then reseating it so the lever goes down to a horizontal position. Then reinsert the cartridges.

If that doesn't solve it the best course of action is to return it and demand a replacement.
