I was recently given a Toshiba Satellite M45-S269. The previous owner told me that would occasionally freeze or the keyboard and mouse would lock up. It was his idea that the problems were from overheating. After reformating the hard drive and reinstalling XP, I've had no problems with the computer freezing or the mouse locking up, however I have had problems with the keyboard. The first time I had a problem, about 6 or so keys just quit working. The next time, while looking through the system boot bios screen, a couple of the keys quit working as well. Today the Ctrl key kept getting "stuck" so all buttons quit working properly. (Though by pressing the button a few times, it would unstick for a few minutes.) I'm pretty sure that it's not a software conflict. Any ideas?
