no thats not it you are lucky you havent burned it up like that. wire each speaker to its own source positive and negative, you loose power when you bridge an amp and use two speakers, its best to hook up without bridging you will get more volume that way.

SOURCE: hey im soon getting 3 cadence amps and im wondering if i need to wire them together im going to have 10 12in subwoofers in my care and im going to run 4 subs with 1 amp at 1ohm the amps are rated sepa
i would not wire them together especially if the watage is different you can blow an amp or get a lot of interference.
