You need to use the grey cd to install the software onto your Mac if you have not already done so. If you don't have the Mac CD you can download the installation software and all drivers from HP
here (select your operating system first).
If you have installed it aready, try uninstalling and then reinstalling using the HP website to obtain the updated drivers etc. rather than your CD.
Once you have uninstalled the software, disconnect your printer and then restart your computer. Do not re-connect your printer until you have reinstalled the software.
To verify that the software has installed properly, look for the HP Solution Centre on your desktop, double click on the icon and check that both "scan picture" and |"scan document" are showing.
