Question about Heating & Cooling
The gas line has air in it, Turn the unit off, at breaker or unplug it. Bleed the air out of the gas line, It should take about 5 seconds to bleed. Tighten gas line, Plug or reset breaker and unit should fire.

Check for the following problems
(1) Check if compressor is geting power
(2) Check if system have Refrigerant in it
(3) Check if pressure switches are operational
(4) Check Thermostrat setting.
(5) Check for dirty or block condenser or evaporator

Sounds like they wired it direct to line voltage , it should run through a sequencer or fan relay to cycle on and off , your seq./relay could be stuck closed to but unlikely being it was just repaired , call the service company back before you do anything they are responsible.
