Question about Microsoft Windows XP Professional With Servise Pack 2 (e8503040) for PC
Hi, this is swetha I got new desktop And it automatically going to windows vista as it is registered for it. But the thing is I want to install Windows XP professional into the system. Can I do that anyway. Please provide me a solution for this as immediately as possible. awaiting for your response. thank you.
This is the easiest and safest way to dual boot. One system won't affect the other in any way if you follow these steps.

What Rocker said is true absolutely. But dear, u said u haven't installed the OS yet and wanto install. So do as instructed to select the boot order and then insert your XP Setup CD and do the install. After you have installed the OS,(it'll take some time), at the next restart after the install, you'll be given a choice to select the OS ya wanna boot and i think this is what ya want. -BSK

Ya u can if u have a xp cd then try this first restart the pc>and while restarting it press F8 keep pressing it and u can see choose the first boot device select the CD-ROM-and insert the XP-cd >follow the instruction>i think u need to restart 3 to 4 tims>and finally restart the pc>and while turm on u can see two oprating system which is windows vista and xp-select xp
