It sounds that the fault is not with its firmware. Check all the solder terminals at its main board, and power supply board, for any loose solder points. OK?

Hello, Resoldered a couple of suspects with my SMD iron. Re connected connections. Now seems to be working fine, been switched onh for a good hour now. Thanks for your help. I was going down the wrong route with the firmware i guess.

SOURCE: HDMI crap out

I got the solution. Contact Customer Service, ask for LEVEL II Tech, and ask them for the old firmware. It will take a lot of pressuring, but they will send it to you and then it will work fine!

That totally stinks! Do a search for that tv on the internet. You might be able to get a main board inexpensively. I did for an LG 32 inch. I got all the circuit boards for the tv (never used) for less than $100. I replaced the main board and works great. Replace only if you know what you are doing!

Before updating the firmware, you should know about the version of the firmware now running with your TV. Without knowing it, and updating the firmware; might cause the set to get irresponsive to any external commands. So beware before updating. After make sure about the firmware now running, check the site linked here to get latest firmware update to your TV. It will be best to contact any service technician in this case, I suggests.

It's obvious that the power supply failed. The most common parts in a power supply are a thermistor or a voltage rectifier, possibly even a voltage regulator. diodes or resistors can act as fuses too. A ringing sound can come from a fixed coil that isn't kept still with enough epoxy. Hope this helps.

My tv have a very typical problem it goes to blank screen but the power is on after few seconds it came back as usual ok. this problem comes down after running more than half an hour constantly.

First make sure you have the latest firmware for your tv by going to Panasonic website. Go to the support part of the site an look for any update in firmware.
Once you have the latest firmware and if the problem persist, try to look for any source of heat close to your tv and eliminate it.
If none of the above works, contact your retailer for a repair, this looks like a overheating problem.

Philips 42PF9630A

Go to philips website and download the latest firmware and install via usb. The fw corrects random power on and offs. If that doesnt fix your problem, the tv is going into error protection mode do to a voltage problem detected by the power supply.

That will be hard to diagnose as everything will test ok as it works before shutting off. The best way is to run the set and use a temp gun to find out whats overheating and go from there.
