Frankly saying, the recovery of eyelid surgery is a bit hard. You may not be able to open your eye for a few days. The pain will subside after a week. Bruising will be there for a month and fade out gradually.

Can you wear eye makeup within 2 days after cataract eye surgery?

No; the rule of thumb is at least one week; but then again, I am not an Ophthalmologist...I would highly recommend contacting your physician/surgeon who performed the procedure; he or she is responsible for your care and recovery before, during, and after surgery. You don't want to end up with any serious complications or infections that could cause temporary or permanent blindness. In this case- place vanity aside and don't compromise your health, safety, and well being.

Best wishes and a speedy recovery!

Can one recover from ptosis non-surgically

No! There are several treatments but the sag must be taken out in order to protect the eye. When the eyelids are not in the correct position, the eye cannot stay lubricated.

How long would it take to recover after surgery for inguinal hernia? My dad has been scheduled to undergo repair surgery for inguinal hernia. While the doctors have given us their opinion on how long...

Surgical procedures to repair Hernia these days could be completed in less than an hour or two in cases of inguinal hernia. Just as with any surgical procedure, the body needs time to heal after a hernia surgery. In most cases, patients are allowed to leave the hospital on the same day as the procedure unless there are any unexpected complications. Recovery process is gradual. If your work does not involve much physical exertions, you could be back at work in 10 days or less. But make sure you do it in consultation with your doctor. Gentle exercises are advised as part of the recovery process. But you'd have to be patient until your body fully recovers from the surgery before you decide to start working out or unduly exerting yourself.
