Mac OSX Mavericks 10.9 - printer (Samsung CLP-310) options not fully operational in mail, notes, preview etc : graphics, paper, about are crossed out.
THE SAMSUNG CLP-310 is fully supported by Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks. The printer driver (like all nowadays) is supplied by Apple not the manufacturer. If you installed drivers/software from a disk, you need to put that disk back in and run the uninstaller. Be sure the printer is removed from the printer list in the Printing system prerefernce pane and then unplug and replug in the printer. If it does not show up automatically you may need to add it manually in the system preferences window (no big deal.)

Hi Please do not touch the fuser while opening the top cover of the printer because
it is hot and may cause burns due to its operating temperature being 356 degree
F. Try to pull out the paper tray out of the printer and open the rear cover.
Now carefully remove the paper by pulling in the upward direction. If there is
some resistance from removing it then stop pulling and push the fuser levers
upwards. Open the top and inner covers and while holding the inner cover open
take out the jammed paper carefully. The inner cover will then close
automatically. Now close the top cover and make sure that it is closed
securely. Please also make sure that whole of the sheet is pulled out and there
is no paper is stuck. Push the fuser levers down and close the front or rear
cover to start printing normally. Hope this helps...please post back for
further assistance. Daniel

I can only add that this printer and driver worked perfectly well under the previous OS X system (Mountain Lion) and still does when using the Pages earlier version (4.3). I am sure it just needs a patch... but Samsung are not addressing the problem.
