I just got a "new" Pavoni Espresso Si machine but when I make the espresso, water leaks out from the top of the filter holder (where the filter holder attaches to the main plastic part of the machine) and also from the crack just above the Pavoni seal on the front of the main part of the machine. Any ideas?
Also - a question - how hard are you supposed to turn the porto-filter in the holder? just till it locks or further? I can push it quite far but am not sure if I need to.

Check your screws in the bottom of the portafilter, If they are too tight the spring mechanism inside can't do its job, adjust them and it should work. Also, don't over fill your portafilter, if you put too much coffee in then there is to much pressure and again the water will flow from the top. Hope this helps
