Toshiba SD-1200 DVD Player

No Sound from my DVD Player and Subwoofer

posted by DJ Reggie B on Oct 09, 2007

I have been in the home a/v hobby for 10 years. I built and have upgraded my system from scratch. I have a 6-1 dolby digital Technics reviever and all of a sudden I do not get any sound (but I have picture) from my DVD player (Toshiba and the tv is a 59 inch Toshiba DLP LCD-HDTV)and my passive subwoofer does not work in any mode (stereo, radio, etc). I have done several spot checks and other tests and before I get a new reciever (which I think the center circuit is the problem) is there anything I can do or am I missing a test?
I have the same problem.
