Change message in ccr mailbox

I purchased a business with a Nortel system in place. I need to change information set up in the CCR such as emergency contact phone number, etc. The previous owner just left the manual and said good luck. I have figured out what the mailbox numbers are for these outgoing information messages but have no idea how to change them. I am entering the system under 983, password, other, ccr...I've been trying to figure this out for hours and am ready to throw the whole system out the window. Please someone tell me you can help me figure this out. When I try to change or delete the mailbox (I figured maybe if I deleted it I could set up another one) it gives me a message that it is being used in tree 1. Help!

You need CCR which is more complex.

AA
AA/Grtg/Grtg/1 = Thank you for calling ABC
AA/Grtg/Grtg/2 = Thank you for calling ABC we are now closed
AA/Table/1/Morn = Grtg 1
AA/Table/1/After = Grtg 1
AA/Table/1/Even = Grtg 2

CCR
CCR Path 0 = If you know your parties ext plz enter it now
for list of staff press 1
PATH 1 = MENU, record list of Staff

You need to disable the CCR Tree in Table before you can make changes. DISABLE to disable or 1 to enable.

You should get a tech in to do this and train you how. 1 hour should do it.

Choose Other, CCR, ADMIN, Enter 1 for CCR tree one and when the option for "Path" appears press 0 and you will have the option to record. The feature your looking for is custom call routing(CCR). If your using 4 digit DN's then you probably have larger office environment which I'm not sure that a CCR tree will handle efficently. To build your CCR tree, enter into voicemail admin programming, press the OTHR soft key, then the CCR soft key ehn the ADMIN key
enter in a CCR tree number, then press build At this point you would enter in the number of the path you want to build and what it will do. ex. path 1 means when I press 1 on the dialpad I want it to call Mary's extension(transfer, internal, ext 2221) When your finished building your paths you'll need to save your tree.then you'll need to enable the CCR tree under AA,TABLE, Grtg Table:1, then press next til you see CCR tree: none. Press the CHNG soft key then 1 on the dialpad and ok. That will enable CCR tree 1 to work in greeting table 1. Theres a large section dedicated to building and changing CCR trees in the Nortel voicemail manuals so don't be discouraged if you don't get it on your first try. good luck

I need to change the main greeting!!

First of all, there are different locations for each greeting...
and you have to know which greeting you are changing.

The greeting that you are talking about:
-> is it the CCR tree? (is says - press 1 for x, press 2 for y, press 3 for z)
-> is it the Auto Attendant? (welcome to xyz company, if you know the extension of the party dial it anytime)
-> is it the General Mail box?(please leave a message after the beep)
-> is it the receptionist mailbox?(this is the receptionist personal mailbox)

In other words, what does the greeting say, maybe that might help solve this issue.

Changing CCR tree...

Ok, for the first part:

Changing the Greeting in the Auto Attendant via CCR tree... you have to get into the ADMIN mailbox:
-> FEATURE 9 8 3
-> Password 1020000 for 3 digit extensions -or- 120000 for 2 digit extensions

(these are the default password, but can be changed)
-> OTHR
-> CCR
-> ADMIN
-> TREE 1 and press OK
-> CHNG
-> Path 0
-> REC then press PLAY to listen to the greeting, and ensure that is the one that you need to change
-> REC the new message
-> remember to SAVE! otherwise all is for not.
THIS MAY BE REQUIRED FOR OTHER TREES ex 2 or 3, listen too all trees and change if required... same steps to get into the trees and prompts.

Ok, second part:
To change the locations of where Press 1 goes do that same steps as above, but Path 1 is for number 1...
Path 2 is for the number 2... so on and so forth.

Re recording the CCR tree

You will have to determine which CCR tree is in use. Typically Greeting table 1 is associated with Company greeting 1 and CCR tree 1. After you log into the voice mail admin box choose "OTHR" then choose CCR, then ADMIN. enter 1 for tree 1. I believe at this point you get an admin option. Choose that and you should see "path:' Enter 0 for the path and you will see your record option. Do your recording and then choose end and save as tree 1. If you still have problems send me your email and I will forward you a cheat sheet I put together for the AA/CCR changes. I've been working on the Norstar/BCM - NAM/Callpilot line for quite soem time so there are very few things I don't know about these systems.
