Two possibilities:

1. Do you have DSL service on one of the lines? This can cause line noise.

2. You may have crosstalk between the lines OR between the lines and an AC power line. The phone lines need to be run with Category 5 wiring, which is twisted and shielded to prevent lne noise leakage.

How do i turn the volume up on a alcatel 2038x

Your phone uses sounds and vibrations to alert you, including ringtones, app notifications, alarms, and navigation feedback. You can customize any of these sounds, as well as control their volumes.
  1. Change default ringtone for incoming calls
  • Touch "Settings" icon from Home screen or under main menu.
  • Touch "Sound".
  • Touch "Phone ringtone." You will see a list of ringtones
  • Touch a ringtone to select and hear it.
  • Touch "OK" to confirm your final selection.

It is possible to record your phone conversations. Sounds like you are trying to activate a voice recorder while you are talking on the phone (this would only record one side of the conversation anyway - yours). Here is a website all about <a href="http://www.recordphoneconversation.com>recording phone calls </a>

My lock button as well as my sound buttons won't work

It sounds like you may have accidentally turned them off. To make sure the sounds are on, do the following:

1. Click on "Settings"
2. Select "Sounds"
3. At the bottom you will see "Lock Sounds" and "Keyboard Clicks".

If the sounds are on, I would then recommend preforming what's called a "Soft Reset". To preform this, do the following:

1.Press down the "Home" button and the "Lock" button at the same time.
2.Hold these buttons until you see the apple logo appear.
3.The iPhone may take up to 2 minutes to come back to your "Lock Screen"

This should fix your problem.

I have video but no sound using SKYPE.

Hi there,

It sounds like you're asking whether headphones are necessary to the Skype experience.

You don't absolutely *need* headphones (or a microphone or a headset that has both), but if you don't use headphones, then your Mac external microphone might pick up the sound of your conversation and you might get unpleasant levels of feedback.

If this doesn't answer your question, please write back with the following information:

1. Your Skype version (click Skype --> About Skype)
2. Your model of Mac
3. Whether you are having problems with your audio
- On Skype only?
- On other applications?
- In general?
4. Whether you have tried clicking on "Skype Test Call"
- Whether you could hear the voice giving you instructions

Thanks!
