Re: image on screen

Yes... The LCD screen is faulty and will have to be replaced in order to remove the "pile of straw" , You can do this by removing the screws below the battery with a t7 torx screwdriver , then you will be able to remove the front of the phone and ther you will see the LCD screen and is simple to replace, Hope i helped :~)

What makes my phone screen go black and go back to lock screen every time I tried to do anything such as message, make a call, or get online?

Sounds like a virus type of thing. If your son downloaded a game you need to uninstall that game and then you need to run a virus type scan to remove any thing that is left behind from that game.

Your problem is caused by the communication foil between the LCD and the mainboard of the phone. This foil contains a number of circuits that makes data transfer possible. The one or more circuits do not communicate anymore, the phone displays odd images.

Whatever the reason, the best thing to do is to take your phone into a cellphone repair shop. It will be handle by a qualified technician to do the task. It is clear that the phone got a serious problem that is why it does not show anything. Neither phone hardware or software problem it should taken to a repair shop. okay..:-)

My E61i screen suddenly goes blinking and blank

Let me guess ... you dropped the phone at least once recently?

Well, I did the same, and the first three times I got it working by smaking it face-up on the table (literally!). However, this morning was the last straw, and I could not get it working again.

However, I now know this is an easily repaired problem that someone with very basic skills and tools can tackle. With the earlier crude remedy I suspected a loose contact, and this was confirmed by squeezing the phone just right between the power light and the speaker I got the backlighting to work. To fix it, the steps are:

- Remove battery cover
- Remove battery
- Start disassembly by removing top rear shell (the bit with the lens cover) by gently prising with a small screw driver. There are five catches - one middle left, one middle right right, one center bottom, two at the top +/- 1/2" from the edges. Gently remove the in the same direction as you would the battery.
- Remove front shell by undoing 4 screws now visible on the rear of the phone, one at each corner. Itis a funny torque screw, but I used a small flat and it worked OK
- Turn the phone face up. Right at the top and about 1" from the left there is a red screen connector (you'll see the copper of the screen's strip cable terminating there). Gently press down on this connector to reconnect, and Hey Presto!
- While you're about it, remove all the dust and muck in the phone.
- Reverse the steps for re-assembly

If you do not feel up to it, take the phone to an agent or repair shop with these instructions. It is a 5 minute job and they should charge accordingly!

Good luck!

White screen with red and blue lines

Try removing the battery for a few seconds and see if that clears up the issue.

If it does, be aware that it's most likely a temporary fix. You'll want to go through the phone and clear out some of the memory (saved text message, call log, and even pictures if there are a lot of them). You might want to consider stopping in at your carrier's local store and getting the software flashed as well.
