Until you know how serious a problem you have, I'd advise against continued use. If you are in the USA, go to http://www.lge.com/us/support/repair/support-repair-provider-lookup.jsp
to find a service provider for in warranty service, or call LG USA at 800-243-0000.

SOURCE: LG Dryer won't dry, no heat.

The heating coil is not too big of a problem to replace if you are mechanically inclined and have tools to do the job.
If you plan to try to repair the problem yourself, then the first thing you want to do is unplug the dryer from the electric.
Remove the back of the machine and try to locate the air tube going from the blower to the drum. Normally inside the air tube you will find the heating coil and the thermostats/thermistor.
Once you have located the heating coil, remove the two wires from it and check the coil with an ohm meter across the two terminals of the coil.
You should read continuity across the terminals, if not you will need to replace the coil as it is faulty.
If the heating coil is ok, then:
You can check the thermostat/thermistor by removing the two wires and taping them together with electrical tape.
If the coil heats up then replace the thermostat/thermistor.
DO NOT LEAVE THE WIRES TAPED TOGETHER AFTER THE TEST. This could cause a fire, as you have removed the saftey of overheat from the machine.
Good Luck,
Hope this helps

SOURCE: Dryer makes loud humming noise

Check to see if the drum will turn by hand. If so, leave the door open but push the light switch button down and start the unit. Once you hear the humming sound, manually turn the drum with your hand to start. If the drum turns normally, you have a bad motor and needs to be replaced. If the drum does not turn, something is jamming the motor and needs to be disassembled and inspected.
Good luck

I have LG washer and dryer and its making loud noise, specially when its spinning. Do you have any suggestion. this washer is only 4 yrs old

The most common reason for a loud noise on spin cycle is that water has got into the bearings and forms rust. The ball bearings are no longer smooth. Hence the noise!..Probably the most common F/L washer reason for demise. If the inner bowl is loose and 'floppy', it would be for the same reason.....Overuse of detergent will do it every time!.....Sorry.......Nomess

Extremely loud noise during spin cycle of my Neptune dryer--just started happening in the last month. The dryer is probably 7-8 years old, so it's not the newer Neptune model.

Dryer doesnt do anything besides a loud noise

What kind of loud noise??  A loud electrical noise??  A loud squealing noise??
It's possible that there is a foreign matter inside the filter chamber jamming up the blower fan.  Pull the filter screen out and look down the filter chamber area and see if there is a sock jamming the fan from turning.  If you can pull it out, that should resolve your problem.  If not, you may need to call a qualified LG technician to resolve this issue.
