Can only see in black and white. How do I get it back to colour?

try changing the colour options in the menu.
they are PAL,SECAM and others.try all of them till you find the one that matches your videos

check that the cables that go to the tv are in the right places and makesure that you are using NTSC ...NOT PAL and problem should be fixed :)

I bought a lg lst3510A at a yard sale for 20 bux. Lady said that it was new and had never been used. Plugged it in and got disc error when trying to play a dvd. I removed the cover and gently slid the lens pickup to the far back I DO MEAN GENTLY.... IT SEEMS LIKE IT HAD LOST ITS HOME POSITION. This worked for me. IF YOU TRY THIS MAKE SURE THAT YOU UNPLUG THE DVD PLAYER FIRST. Good luck and I hope this works for you.

Use a head cleaner to clean the heads on the vcr.

Same problem with an older JVC player. One end of the S-video cable was loose. Pushed in in tight and everything ok again. Cheap fix if it works for you.

if you are using composite cables (yellow,red & white), make sure your yellow (video cable) is into the yellow output. if you plugged the wire into the green on the back of the dvd it will give you a black & white picute. But if it is in the yellow then you most likely have a problem with the dvd player that will need to be taken to a service center.
