Mitsubishi CS31305 TV turns on then goes to snow and then back on

When I turn on my set it comes right on for about 30 seconds and then the screen goes to snow, then about 5 minutes later it will come back on. sometimes it stays on and sometimes it will go to snow again.Usually it is fine after it warms up and stays on the rest of the time.

I have all new cables ,When it comes on everything is fine for about 30 seconds or so. As of yesterday it isn't snow, it is just black and I can hear the audio....This is exactly what happens......I turn on the set (everything is fine) about 30 seconds later the screen goes black but I can hear the audio. Then about 5 minutes later the video comes back on. Lately though the set has been doing it a third time. After it goes through its little ritual it is fine until I turn it back on after being off for a while (It seems to do this until the set warms up.

I hope this describes the problem better.

Is the symptom still "Pix blacks out when cold, sound ok" ?
Then pull chassis, solder any/all bad connects ( look for signs of
over-heating = dis-coloration ) or leakage from capacitors = dark
area around + or - that smells when soldered (electrolytic acid).
Vent away from nose! = poisonous fumes!! Old Mits TV's are
known for bad caps in power supply circuits......T.

Keep in touch.......

Snow basically is a symptom of weak signal.

as you say it becomes ok after 5 minutes or so there no question of any components gone wrong except loose or print intermittent

please check.

1  input weak like cable or antenna or loose wire from the source..

2  in tv antennae socket loose.

3  near tuner any thing loose or track loose.

4  cable wire might be old.

hope this will help.

I am not getting picture on my TV it stic on only one channel we are chengiong channel but same sound is comming also we are getting a blue coloured K on right hand side of TV

That blue K means you are in the service mode. Unplug your set and wait 30 seconds. Then at the same time you plug it back in, you need to be holding the volume down button and the input button.
The TV should turn back and the blue K should turn pink. Once this happens, press the volume and channel down button at the same time. A menu should come on the screen. With your remote, press the up arrow to reach the nest page. The first option should say INIT. Arrow to the right and hit enter. In a few seconds your screen should turn green and say success. Unplug the TV and wait 30 seconds. Plug the set back in and turn on your TV. You can then set your set back the way you want.

Picture & sound go on & off every sec, red light blinks 5 times

helloFive blinks - AKB circuit (automatic kine bias), the timer/standby indicator blinks for about 30 seconds then goes to the self-diagnosis function. Something is wrong with the video. Check video out, Q705, 732, 761 and other components on the C board, also check Q218, 219, 220 on the A board. In addition, unit could be in IK blanking, try turning up screen slightly.

Mitsubishi DLP overheating

Mitsubishi has problems with the thermal sensor going bad. They extended the warranty for several sets. The sensor is right by the lamp. Call mitsubishi and insist they do something for you. If you keep playing your set, the bulb could also be at risk. I would think your set is covered being a 62" set. Good-luck and be sure to act ASAP.
