I cant get any color when i hook up my x box orginal.. tv color works fine.. i have tried plugging the white into the blue and nothing happens.. What needs to be done to be able to have color when im on...

White is your audio signal, not video. If you are using a composite hook up, yellow is your video and needs to go in the yellow slot. White and red is your left and right audio. If you are using a component hook up, then you will need to use red, green and blue for video and white and red for audio.

Trying to hook up 2 lights to a light switch. Power is coming through one light then to wecond light and switch. How do I get the 1st light to work on the switch?

OK I asked for better info but, lets try this... If there is only one set of wires going to the switch, this is called a switch leg. Both wires,no matter what color they really are, are treated as black. so then in the first light box you connect one leg of the switch leg to the hot black incoming wire. the other leg connects to all other black wires in that box.Including the light. the white wires all hook together.( not the switch leg white, remember its really black)Including the light All Bare ground wires hook together. In the other box just match up colors and connect the wires together. Its as simple as that. Larry

Replaceing phone wall plate

Hi Leanne!

Normally the conductors in phone cable are colored green, red, black and yellow in older style wiring. Green and red are used for a single line, and black and yellow are for a second line. Newer systems use wires that have conductors twisted together in pairs. White with a blue stripe paired with solid blue or blue with a white stripe is line 1. White with an orange stripe paired with solid orange or orange with a white stripe is line 2. (At least this is true in the US. You said "cheers" so maybe you're not in the US and the color coding's different.)

Chances are your line is using the blue and white wires.Residential telephone equipment isn't polarity sensitive so it really doesn't matter which wire you hook to L+ and L-. Try the white/blue combination first. If you don't get dialtone then try red/black. If still no luck you only have two more combinations to try.

Before you start with the wiring, take another phone on the line off the hook (if you have another one). This will prevent an incoming call from ringing the line, which can give a shock if you happen to be touching a bare end. The ringing voltage is much higher than the normal phone line voltage which won't bother you.

HD tv with the mitsu

Well if your refering to the right tv (check your model number) then this tv only supports 480i, 480p and 1080i. Ive never seen anywhere that it supports 720i.

The component wires should include three lines for each corresponding color, red green and blue, and finally white and red for left and right audio. I think that is what your refering to.

If everything is right, it should work, the fact your seeing green could be a number of issues... maybe its a direct tv box issue?

The blue and blue/white attach to the red and green wires behind the jack assembly. The other colors are only used for a 2nd and 3rd line number. Thank You Jerry

PS2 hook-up

I would suggest to feed video from another source such as DVD or VCR to the same input, if the video is visible from other sources on your TV; that means the video cable from your PS2 is defective. If you did not see any video from the DVD or VCR nor the PS2, it means that there maybe a loose connection inside the TV on the video input.
Hope this helps.
