The status light is red and the paper light is blinking even though the printer is full of paper.. can someone help..
Thank you
AlexSame problem here. It's not a paper jam problem as it prints OK from the MP feeder. It seems the paper out sensor is not being moved out of the way with paper in the tray. If I insert a rod up through a ho;le in the bottom of the paper tray to lift the paper up to the sensor it pulls paper from the tray & prints OK. Is there a spring or gear that's not engaging?

- Not related to my problem, as stated it has already been isolated to the paper lift not being held high enough to engage the paper-out arm.
The problem is caused by a gear's axis damage. If you pull out the paper tray and remove the lower tray completely, you can see a white gear in the middle of LEFT-HAND side wall. Its axis is broken and causes the gear loose.
To repair it, first power off and remove the power core, remove the toner and drum. Then, turn the printer to side way so that you can see the gear. Put a screw into the small hole used to hold the axis. You may need to first DRILL a hole in order to insert the screw if your screw is not tiny enough.

I printed labels from WordPerfect to a Brother HL-5370DW using the manual tray. I manually changed settings back to AutoSelect, to Tray 1, and also used Default button. Everything from WordPerfect still goes to the manual tray. In all other programs, it works fine.
