i would suggest trying power scan again...
1)hold down tv button next to sat button in top left corner
2) when all buttons illuminate press 500 into remote
3)press pound sign
4)Hello, please help..
5)hold town tv button again.
6)when all buttons illuminate press big red power button
7)press up arrow once a second until tv shuts off
8)press # pound sign
9)try to turn tv back on w/ big red power button
10)if tv doesnt turn back on try again from step 2 but use down arrow instead
if this doesnt work try addressing your old remote to the receiver by pressing record from system info screen

I MAY have a solution!! We too have the VIP722 Dish Network receiver. Ours is the "K" model. I called the place where we purchased the TV and they said that the "brightness" on the TV may need to be turned down. He walked me through this, and it worked. The remote WORKS now!! Our TV is a 40" Sony Bravia that we purchased a couple of months ago. Evidently at night, the TV was so bright in the room, it interfered with the Infared Remote control. By turning down "off" brightness detector on the TV, the IR remote was able to send the signal to the receiver. Our TV is on a cabinet and the receiver is directly underneath on a shelf. I hope this solves your problem and anyone else's that may have this problem with the remote.

First the only way the 6.3 will work is if it has the green number 1 on the tab facing you. Assuming this is the case you will need a new remote. This primarily is the remote for the second room away from the receiver. Thanks for using Fix Ya.

HERE ARE A FEW SUGGESTIONS TO LOCATE A SUITABLE CODE FOR YOUR
VIZIO BLU-RAY PLAYER, MODEL VBR231
WHICH MEANS YOU SHOULD TRY HITACHI BLU-RAY PLAYER CODE(S) LISTED IN THE DISH NET RC MANUAL.
DISHSUPPORT STAFFhances are the 5.3 remote will not control that Blu-ray player. What will work however is a DISH Network 21.0 remote which not only has a better IR code database, but also is an IR learning remote. This means if the code is not in the remotes database you can teach it to learn all the functions of your Vizio Remote. The DISH 21.0 remote will also work fine with your 622/722.If you can't find a 21.0 remote then please PM me and I can tell you where you can order one. They may also be available from DISH Network directly.
