Hi,
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

SOURCE: Humax PVR 9200T freezing picture and will not turn off.

Unplug the aerial; switch the PVR On; if you have control via the remote do a reset to default settings thus:

1. press Menu on the remote
2. select Installation and enter default password of 0000 unless you have changed it
3. select Default settings and okay on YES
4. then turn if off again via the remote
5. plug the aerial back in and it will scan for channels, save them of course.

I got help on this from other forums but saw your request for help. This worked for me.

Hi,
Try unplugging the unit from the wall for a couple of hours to see if the unit will reset. Also you could try and see if there is a firmware update for the unit from the manufacturer.

SOURCE: I have an error code 01 on my sagem PVR set top

Unplug the box from the mains and leave fro 15 mins. Unplug the antenna (aerial), plug back into the mains and switch on. It will show 09 error; ignor. Press ók'on the remote. The box will reset and reboot into stby. Plug antenna back in and switch on. With a bit of luck you will be able to do an automatic channel scan (refer to your manual).
Er 01 refers to a failed upgrade, so you may have corrupted firmware, which is not good.

XP rebooting again and again

Do you now have both hard drives plugged in? You must have the Master hard drive in the IDE1 slot and the second hard drive jumpered to cable select and put on the IDE2 slot. As you are looking at the cable from the open side of the computer, the IDE cable connected to the hard drive should have the red stripe towards you. The end of the ribbon cable should be plugged into the primary hard drive, with the second hard drive plugged into the second plug on the ribbon cable. On the hard drive there should be a diagram for how to jumper each hard drive for primary or cable select.

NOTE: You cannot put a hard drive into the computer and expect it to boot, even if it has an operating system on it. The OS must be installed onto the hard drive after being installed into the system.

Good Luck,

Installing a hard drive on the eurovox ex5000 pvr stops it workin

if the hard drive is new and not formatted , there will be no operating system for the computer to go past the bios start up
what you will have to do is to get into the bios , select boot preference and select cd as first preference
load an operating system( example win 8) and let the unit boot from the disc
after that has properly installed ,shut down the unit , restart and get the bios back up and change boot preference to hard drive
from then on it should start and boot from the program on the hard drive

Disk read error, please help

If it was dropped on the floor, more than likely, that spinning hard drive is damaged and has failed. The computer caqnnot load the operating system. You will definitely have to replace the hard drive, and hope the data is recoverable. Keep in the mind, the hard drive is constantly spinning, and any shock at 30G's or more can be fatal.

Picture moving a turntable while its playing, accept, instead of spinning at 33.3 rpm's its spinning at 5400 rpms, faster than most car engines......

Good luck.
