A 2007 with water in oil..? Wow.. Are you running it for 5 to 20 mins then shutting off? This type of short run time can result in a lot of condensation in the crank case.. This will give you the tell tale foam around filler cap. You will need to run the engine long enough to get good and hot .. say at least an hour, couple times a week, to boil out the condensation.
IF that is NOT the case, then it's likely the head gasket is failed, and coolant is entering the crank case. Or possibly another seal of similar importance. Thick white exhaust is a very strong indicator of blown head gasket.

2004 Toyota Tacoma 3.4L was submerged in water for hours. It was running while in water then died and wont start. Getting spark and fuel to cylinders but has low compression in 3 cylinders. What next?

Check timing belt/condition to see if timing has jumped. Another possibility is cylinder wash down caused by water entering the cylinders wiping away the oil inside the cylinders. This could cause a low compression issue as the rings will not seal properly. You can remove the spark plugs and squirt some oil in each individual cylinder then crank the engine over to distribute the oil inside each cylinder to help raise compression.

I have a blown head gasket & my carkeeps overheating

You had better not drive it at all, get the head gasket replaced as soon as you can, if you drive it there will be water in the oil and your metal will not be lubricated in the engine, and it will lock up the motor completely. just look at your oil and it will be brown and fluffy like chocolate pudding. DONT drive it

I have a 2001 ford taurus ses with a 6 cyl 3.0L DOHC engine. Getting error codes P0304,P0305 and P0306 from check engine light. Light alternates between flashing and steady. Lots of hesitation and...

Codes say Cylinder 4, 5 & 6 are not firing. This could be a spark issue or a fuel issue or a mechanical engine failure. Is compression zero? Did they use a compression tester?

Water poured out and water in my oil

Water in the oil can only mean a few things: a blown head gasket, intake manifold gasket (on some engines), a cracked/broken cylinder head, or a cracked/broken cylinder wall in the engine block.

In any of these cases, it is going to require major engine repair to fix it. There may be moderate to severe damage to the engine bearings (cam and crank bearings) due to the water in the oil. I would recommend TOWING it to a professional repair shop to get an evaluation of the damage. You may be able to fix it with a head gasket replacement and an oil change, or you may have to replace the entire engine. DO NOT OPERATE THE ENGINE OR TRY TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE. This will only GAURANTEE that you will need to replace the entire engine!

2004 vw touareg 2.5 tdi the oil sump was full of water and oil mix, also inlet manifold had oil and water mix.number 5 cylinder had locked up and engine would not turn,so i removed glow plugs and cranked...

Can not be water pump, because that has a vent hole to the outside, and does not at all allow access to crankcase or cylinders. Oil cooler is also unlikely because oil is under more pressure than the water, and it would not get into the cylinder.
Water in the cylinder means up high.
That means head gasket or cracked head.
You can tell with a leak down test.
You borrow the gauge from a place like Autozone, and replace the water reservoir cap with it. Over pump it, about 30 psi. And watch for leaks. If same cylinder keeps filling, then you know where the bad gasket or head crack is. Diesels often crack heads. Not hard to do, but new head is not cheap. Probably $500 for part, $400 labor.

I have a 2000 Dodge Intrepid that needs a new water pump. My mechanic quoted me over $1000 to fix it, and warned me that the engine will likely go bad soon because the water pump goes through the motor....

Hello and Welcome to FixYa.com

you must have the 2.7 liter engine if so the weep hole for the water pump is inside the engine and yes the water pump goes out and leaks anti freeze and water into engine causing it to sludge up. depending on how long you ran engine with water in it depends on how long engine will last. if not long you should be ok. i would remove the oil pan and clean the oil pump screen and pan. the estimate is correct. the water pump is in line with the timing chain. i would replace the chain and guides while in there as well. flush engine after all is done. use the cheap oil to run engine and add flush then drain and add synthetic oil for high mileage engine. I own one and i had the same problem. i drilled through the timing plate a hole and braised a little pipe to the weep hole to water pump so for the next time the pump leaks it will leak outside of the engine.

Car was over heating and now wont start

The 190 and 300's with the 2.6 and 3.0 l engines have a known head gasket failure (the oil and water passages were too close and the gasket would leak allowing water into the oil), that eventually meant upper engine dissambly at 125 to 150k miles. You didn't say if you have the 4 or 6 cylinder, but check your coolant reservoir for any grey, dark floating gunk. Next, check your oil...is there a brownish foamy looking oil on the dipstick? Not a good sign if so. With water in the engine's cylinders the car won't start and will need to have the head machined. Sorry, but there is no quick and cheap fix to this problem.

Engine sputters at times when driven up hills or in the hot weather.

Sounds like a head gasket is cracked, any water in oil? That will make oil look like muddy water. Any oil leaks under vehicle? Trace to see if coming out from under head on side of engine block.

Lose power in a head wind?

You may never see signs of leaks or water in oil, it could be a crack of gasket allows combustion power to flow from one cylinder to the adjacent cylinder.

My 1991 Isuzu Rodeo had this problem, it is an 8 hour fix and a couple of days wait after you take head into shop to be milled. Then 4 hours to put back together, very simple to do yourself, but you need a Chilton Manual from local auto store, otherwise $1200.00 to have a good shop fix for you.

Smoke keeps coming out the tail pipe bad...what should i do to fix it?

you likely have a head gasket issue or cylinder issue. Neither of these is remotely cheap to fix. if the smoke is gray probably burning oil, if the smoke is white probably getting water in the oil from failed head gasket.
