Unplug the power cord and wait a few days, then open the case. Do not touch anywhere but the part where the DVD intake is and see if you can access the DVD and pull/push it out. Do not touch anything with bare hands, use a plastic tool if needed.

Sounds like you will need to disassemble the television, the DVD likely came off of the spindle unit. The other issue could be the loading/unloading mechanism is faulty. Either way, the best way to get the DVD back is to disassemble and reassemble the unit.
