The Nikon N75 is a film camera. It doesn't use a memory card at all.

If you're referring to some other digital camera that does use an SD/SDHC card, look at the memory card. SD and SDHC cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

SOURCE: memory card is locked. slide lock to "write"

Hi mjsiderits, Your question loses me. N65 is a film camera does not use memory cards. If you are having a memory card issue where R/W slide is not moving then you could try to force it or better yet contact the card manufacture. Most have warranties where they will replace the card for free. Be sure to transfer all your photos before you send it to them.

Look at your memory card or stick.

SD and SDHC cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. Memory sticks have a slide switch just below the contacts. Slide the switch away from the "LOCK" position to unlock the memory stick.

Samsung sl600 is saying card locked when I try to take a picture

Remove the memory card from the camera, along one edge you will see a tiny switch, slide it towards the contacts to unlock the card, the switch that is in the farthest position from the contacts is in the locked position to prevent deletion. Now! if the card is in the unlocked position slide the switch back and forth to reset the card. If that fails the card should be replaced.

SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.

If that doesn't work, try another card.

Camera is saying "Memory card is locked. Slide lock to "write" position."

If you remove the card from the camera, there is a little switch on the SD Card. There is typically a label that shows which direction is locked. If not, switch it to the opposite side. This should solve the problem. Otherwise, there could be a problem with your card. I hope this solves the problem.

Cant take photos and the LCD screen says "Memory card is locked. Slide lock to 'write' position"

I don't own this camera but My guess is your memory card is in a LOCK SETTING you need to move the memory card to unlocked " wrirte " so you memory card isn't locked.....
Step 1 remove the card from you're camera
Step 2 there is a small little side on the side of the memory chip move that to the unlock position.
step 3 insert the card and start shooting!
