you can do as many conferences as you have phones, but one phone can have one conference at a time with 3 total parties(depending on your phone system) in the conference (so yourself and 2 other people, inside or outside of the office)
if you have a TDA/TDE/NCP phone system (blue box on the wall or in a computer rack) you can have 5 people in a single conference...
if you have a TD phone system (white box on the wall) you are limited to a 3 party conference
I'm assuming you are using this on a 3300 ICP. In that case, the phone system is only able to do 8 party conference calls without an external Conference server. You can dial the first number, press the flash button, dial the next number, dial the feature code (get from your vendor), repeat until you have all parties as part of the call.
The 5310 IP conference unit works much easier than this phone. A conference bridge such as Audio Web Conference with the appropriate licensing will allow for extended conference calls... it will also allow you to record the call for later "off-air" participation.
WHEN you are in conference ..
go to options(that is press left soft key)..dont worry the call will be continued..
then,it displays a list of options, press down until you see mute, click mute and the calls will be muted...
Conference call is not a feature of the phone, but a feature of the telephone system in the company. Usually you press a sequence of keys like flash #02 to trigger this function in the phone system. If your company phone system does not offer the feature then you have to use an external conference call provider.
Establish a conference call between yourself and two other parties.
1.Make or answer the first call. 2.Put the first call on hold. 3.Make or answer the second call. 4.After the second call is connected, press [Feature] . 5.Press the line or intercom button of the first held call. 6.Press [Rls] to end the conference call
To remove yourself from a conference permanently (unsupervised conference):
Press [Feature] . The other two callers remain connected. (Some external lines may not support this feature.)
