The easy one is the fuse in the plug may have failed, try battery's also to see if there is life in the item

If battery's work, and after fuse replacement check lead too, it may well be the internal power supply has failed these are produced very cheaply and do fail, but are very difficult to replace and would not recommened you did,

hope this helps

Trying to play a cd on the TEAC GF-680 . Blinking message

  • You may have some dust blocking an optical sensor that detects the door being closed. Try to blow into the door area with the tray open, either with your breath or with compressed air.
  • You can also try unplugging the player for 1 minute and plugging it back in to see if that fixes it.
  • Try a different CD. The DVD player may not like the CD you are trying to play or the CD might be dirty.
  • The DVD player might just be broken.

Cannot say without seeing it but if you wish to play a 78 then it needs a different size stylus to a 45 or LP. Make sure the correct stylus is fitted.
