Question about Canon Rebel XT / EOS 350D Digital Camera
My Rebel XT will not Focus Auotmatically. It was working great and then as I switched some settings for a special event, I must have triggered something that will not allow the lenses to automatically focus. I am hoping it is an easy problem but have tried reading the manual again and checking all the setting on my different lenses. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, happy shooting!
I had the same problem a few moths ago when I tried to use a Quanta lens. Go into the second tools menu, select clear settings, then select Clear all Custom Functions. It worked for me I hope it works for you.

For a guru you don't read very well. carolbd said "AF ARE ON"

The fact that you can focus the lens manually suggests that auto focus is switched off on the lens . Switch to AF on the lens and try again.
