Question about KitchenAid KUDS30IXSS Builtin Dishwasher
This is a nice dishwasher with a stainless interior, however the top rack roller supports are made of plastic. These are the supports that are on the top rack, and what happens is that one of the catches breaks off, then the roller is free to dislodge from the rack entirely. What happens is that the rack is then free to fall, and if it happens on one side then the weight of the trey can take out the support on the other side. Lots of people have this problem with the dishwashers with model KUDS30. There should be a new part created by kitchen aid which is not susceptable to easy breakage. Lots of people see this part break between 1 and 3 years into the life of the dishwasher. Here is an image showing the rack with one of the rollers that came off. The roller is not lost, it just stays in the track and allows the tray to fall (hang loose) only supported by the back rollers. http://i.imgur.com/Md3YjNz.jpg
Could it be that KitchenAid wants you to replace the entire rack? Check with a local appliance parts supplier if you can because the roller must be a hot replacement item.

sounds like you have a broken chopper. have you checked the chopper how far have you taken it apart? if the unit is put back together point all wash arms in the same direction turn the dishwasher on after it has started washing give it about 2-3 minutes open the door and see what wash arm is not moveing. if the upper wash arm is not moveing you need to check the chopper.

Testimonial: "THANKS SO MUCH. WE REALLY HATED WASHING THE DISHES BY HAND. THE CHOPPER HAD FALLEN OFF AND JUST NEEDED TO BE PUT BACK IN ITS PLACE."
Check the power source to the machine.
If all power connections to and within the machine are O.K. then, it is most likely your door switch or worst case, the control board.
Best to get a technician to diagnose the problem.

First ensure that the arm is not getting stuck, and check that the orifices are free.
When the top arm is not spinning you may need to replace pump and motor assembly. First it is good looking for blockage in pump hose.
If the appliance is less than two year old, then it may be covered by limited warranty. Call Kitchenaid at the number listed in the owners manual to verify your warranty status.

Yes indeed! If you know the measurements, you can buy a stainless panel from www.applianceart.com cut to any size you would like. THey also have a cheaper "faux" stainless option too. Many colors and designs as well.
