Either you have a bad board, or current leakage between ground and neutral on the ac line. I have reversed the polarity on the black and white wires before and fixed it, but it's been rare.

Bryant plus 80 furnace no fan/ operation , yellow constant flashing light code , power to furnace was rerouted during remodel and since then furnace stopped working. Any suggestions ?

You need to have/ know the "fault code" chart for that specific furnace. Count the number of flashes and refer to chart. Look on the inside of the furnace blower door or other panel. Also look up on internet and print it off. If the furnace was allowed to run during the remodel it voids the warranty automatically. Read the installation manual.
Try resetting the electronic board by turning the power off then back on.

Coleman furnace

Reverse polarity means the power wires coming to the furnace are connected backwards. The black wire should the hot ( 120 volt line) . The white wire should be the neutral. The green should be the ground. Check these connections and test them to make sure they are correct. You should get 120 volt reading between the black and white.120 volts between the black and green and 0 volts between the white and green. Hope this helps.

How do you reset the furnace when it indicates the polarity has been reversed

To reset any furnace just unplug and plug it back in. If the polarity has been reversed open up the small box the power cord goes to, you'll see white, black and green wires. find the ones that are attached directly to the power cord and switch the white with the black and vice versa.

Furnace ignitor keeps breaking. Replaced it twice within the last month, for a total of 3 ignitors for one winter. I've been extra careful not to handle the graphite. Furnace was cleaned in the fall and...

Make sure that there is no water dripping off of the heat exchanger onto the ignitor. Reconnect all electrical connections on the circuit board and make sure the ground connections are clean. Test the polarity of the power coming in with a multimeter. Reverse polarity will fry ignitors. Make sure the furnace is on it's own breaker.

Gas furnace; flame will not stay on

Clean the flame sensor with a green scotch brite pad. Check all ground connections from the circuit board to the furnace cabinet. Check for a proper ground to the electrical box. Make sure polarity has not been reversed.

Heater not working after new uniot installed

you might switch polarity on the plug going into the furnace. Reversing polarity consists of taking the 110 volt line going into your furnace and switching the two plug wires aroung leaving the green connected. This may help since some furnaces run with the electricity going into the furnace a certian direction. Good luck on you repairsDave

Reverse polarity

Its a simple fix. Follow the cord that plugs into the wall into the furnace. Or if its hard wire, follow the romex wire that goes into your furnace. Inside the furnace, switch the white and black wires that connects to the power cord.
