Hi. We have a potterton netaheat profile boiler and the pressure has dropped so low nothing will work. I know it needs to be recharged but don't know how to do it. The only visible pipes are on the top...

The cold water feed to the boiler is where you will find the refill point which should be at the base of the boiler where all the pipes come in

Puma 80 potterton hot water on and off

Boiler compartment ventilation will not stop you getting hot water . Its sounds like you have problems with a sensor or the water section on the boiler .

My potterton boiler ignites itself after turning it on then goes out

Assuming this is a combi boiler and you mean that the main gas burner comes on then off:-
How long after - 5-20 secs check overheat thermostat Check the wires to it are firmly in place i.e. making a connection. If Ok? then you can short this out by joining the wires together - do with boiler OFF at mains electricity
Longer - say 1-2 mins check secondary heat exchanger for blockage - usually furred up inside & only solution is replacement

Potterton Profile 60e doesn't start first time

could be fan speed or air pressure switch-is case seal sealing properly also check grommets under boiler for blowing.
YOU CAN ONLY WORK ON BOILER IF YOU ARE GAS SAFE REGISTERED.

Combi boiler problem

most have an overrun built in for a few minutes. if much longer have you got a room thermostat anywhere to turn down
If it never turns off check the switch which controls ON/TIMED/OFF and turn to timed or off. if it still continues on timed then it's the timer
