Question about Craig Televison & Video

Open Question

Crackling Sound We've had a Craig 32" Model CLC512e that the sound just started crackling in and out. Owned it less than a year and it's hooked up to a surround sound system at our shop. Does it even when disconnected from the Surround sound system. Any ideas?

SOURCE: crackling noise from tv

That crackling noise has nothing to do with the television and everything to do with your antenna. It is merely signal breakdown, when you get signal interference with analogue tv you get snow, with digital you get little squares on the screen and/or sound breaking and cutting in and out, get a licensed antenna repairer to come out check your signal strength as you may need a booster or your antenna could just be a few degrees off....

SOURCE: hooking up new tv to surround sound

I recently purchased a vizio 37" LCD tv, I have tried everything in hooking up my Sony DVD surround system to the TV. However, I found no audio output on this TV. Could you tell me if there is a way to hook the tv directly up to the surround without an output?
Is there something else I need to buy?

Interference. Separate wiring in back, so there is no cross-talk of signals. If speakers are failing, go to walmart and buy a new set, <$20.00, hook up and sound is great.

Those sounds would be either your power converter/supply inside the TC or/and faulty cabling inside that has been worn out resulting in noises and flickering.

Amp crackling noise

Sounds like you could have a blown amp/speaker or you've got a short in your speaker lead. Typically, when there's not enough resistance on a wire is when you start getting the crackling noises.

My model N350 will get a crackling sound in the main unit every now and then. If I take the cover off and unhook the main wire for a while and then hook it back up it will help for a few day's to a few...

Sounds like a build up of static electricity from unit not being grounded. Check to see if it has a 3 prong cord end. You could try plugging it in to a different outlet. Crackling sound can also be caused by oxidized control potentiometers which is a very common problem in older equipment. Try turning the volume control, balance etc. up and down about 20 or thirty times each (with the unit turned off)
