Water dispenser leaks when getting water . This is Frigidare refrigerator , is it the valve on back ?

Hello Marie Baxter: If you suspect the water dispenser is leaking, make sure it is the hoses coming from the filter and not the actual filter.

Sometimes the clamps on the hoses for fridge water filters can come loose or the hose itself could crack; in which case the hose would need replacing (or tightening the clamp), and not the filter.

If you clearly find the filter is leaking, the best thing to do is make sure it is installed properly.

If it is securely in place, then you may just have a defective filter and changing it will solve the leaking.

You will need to remove the filter, which is typically located in the back of the refrigerator and inspect it to see what condition it is in.

•For instance, if it is black or looks dirty, you probably will want to replace it.

•Moreover, when there is a leak or a clog, you will notice a dramatic decrease in the output of the water dispenser tab, which is another sign there may be a leak in the water filter. If you know the water filter in your refrigerator is leaking, then you can take the water filter out and see if it has anything loose on it, but typically if it is leaking, it probably is best to replace the water filters for refrigerators.

•This is especially true if you use the filtered water from the refrigerator as your main home water filter systems.

•Moreover, if it has been awhile since you changed the filter; it can become clogged over time, which can cause it to leak.

When you are faced with having a leaking filter refrigerator water unit, it helps to think through the pros and cons of fixing the leak vs. replacing the refrigerator water filter.

LEAKING WATER

The plastic line has cracked at the water valve. See this page item 804:

http://www.appliancepartspros.com/partsearch/model.aspx?model_id=206380&diagram_id=21040526#d21040526

It is a matter of turning off the water supply, removing the attaching nut and compression fitting then cut off the line... transfer the inner sleeve nut and brass outer compression ring to the new hose then reinstall the line onto the water valve. If it is leaking at a water filter connection the repair is the same as above.

Turn on the water supply when you finish.

Fuel leaking from dain

I am assuming this is a diesel 7.3l powerstroke? Leaking from housing or the drain? If the housing itself is leaking maybe the oring on the lid is bad or it is cracked. If it is leaking out the drain hose the little petcock valve is probably bad. That little hose is for draining out water in the filter housing. Make sure the valve is tightened. If it is get a new valve and install it. If it still leaks take the cover off of the motor and check the o-ring on the lid where the fuel filter goes make sure it is not pinched, hardened, or cracked. Then run the truck with the filter housing exposed and check for leaks and or cracks after of course re-installing the lid for the filter housing.

Refrigerator gushing water through ice maker filter

Filters themselves don't usually leak. Check full insertion of filter, cracked filter housing or cracked supply line.

I cannot get one of the filter valves closed

Water should not be draining from your pool filter at all. There should be one hose that connects to from the filter to the pool and another hose that returns the filtered water from the filter to the pool. It is a continuous loop. If water is coming out of your pool during this process, either you don't have a hose connected properly or the hose is leaking/cracked.

Water leaks

If there is water leaking from under the washer, then you have a water leak from one of your water hoses. Check the back of the washer, where the water comes into the washer, to see if its leaking water or the hose is cracked. If its leaking water from the intake hose, then unscrew the hose and check the rubber washer, to see if it needs reolaced. Sometimes those rubber washers get cracked or broken. If that doesn't help, unplug your washer from the power cord and unscrew your intake water hoses and flip the washer gently on it's side and check the water hoses under the washer for leaks or cracks. Replace the hoses if cracked. Your local hardware store should have replacement hoses. This should solve your problem, but if not, then you need to call a washer repair person to look at it. I hope this helps.:)
