SOURCE: what niles power amplifer would work effortlessly

The 901 Active Equalizer comes with some bass and midrange adjustment for tayloring them to your environment and taste.

Your question is about personal preference, which none of us could possibly answer.

Since any amplifier worth its salt should just make the sound BIGGER without coloring it, your question is moot. What you want is NOT a quality amp. Maybe an equalizer?

Hello there! I have an 8-10 yr old Bose Accoustimass 10 speaker system connected to an Onkyo TX-DS595 receiver. After moving and setting up my system the Bass Module has almost no base coming out although...

What is your crossover setting set at?
If it is set at 40 HZ, this would explain weak bass; as that Bose system sends ~120HZ down to the sub.

I reccomend checking the crossover setting to 120 or 100; with all speakers to small.

You may need to increase the db setting on your sub as well......

Good Luck.

Want to connect non-bose speakers to a bose lifestyle system

this is possible, however not a very good idea.
Bose speakers are designed a little different than other brand speakers, the Equalizer built into the bose system will probably not sound amazing when you hook up your other speakers. Are you looking for more bass? cleaner highs?

if you want more bass, you could try doubling up your subs, if you want cleaner highs you could buy Bose Jewel Cube Speakers (purchased from a Bose Built-Invisible Dealer

Cinemate bose how do I adjust base and trebble

If the system doesn't have controls labeled "bass" and "treble" - or if there are no clever presets like "Hall", "Theater", etc., then you'll have to adjust these parameters before the signal reaches the speakers. One way is to purchase a graphic equalizer to hook between the speakers and the signal source. A graphic equalizer a basically a tone control, with the spectrum divided into 10 or more "slices" instead of 2 (bass and treble). Consider the sliders on the left as "bass", and the ones on the right as "treble". If you're using these speakers for a computer, some sound card software has these controls buried beneath a few menus - but sometimes not. The easiest solution is to buy an equalizer and hook it between the signal source and speakers. Bose is typically "audiophile" equipment, and many audiophiles don't want tone controls (thus the extra electronic processing required) to contaminate the signal. Obviously, most systems do need to offer some control to the user, as you've discovered!

Front bose speakers and bass module stopped puttimg put sound

If you're saying you hooked the Bose speakers directly to the Yamaha's amp instead of the prescribed way through their own bass module - they're cooked.

Changing out my monitor speakers to bose cube speakers

You probably can do it as long as the speakers there now are 8 ohm speakers and you must use the bose bass module with the cubes because the crossover is built into the bass module for the cubes to work. If you just wire up the cubes you will mess the cubes up and they want sound right at all. The cubes are no good without their bass module in other words. Hope this helps.
