I have a New Home 622 sewing machine. Can I use a double needle in it ? Thanks.

Most machines can use a twin needle as long as the presser foot and needleplate have a wide opening to allow the needle to penetrate without restriction. However, I believe sewing machines whose bobbins load on the side (as opposed to front-loading bobbins) and the needle faces the side of the machine would not be able to accommodate a twin needle. (Am unable to locate a picture or any information regarding your particular model.)

"bobbin size

Consult your owner's manual to find out what bobbin to use in your machine. There are many bobbins available, some will actually fit in your machine, but they may be a slight bit different size that will negatively affect your machine's operation. If you don't know which bobbin to buy, take the machine's manufacturer name and model to a sewing shop and ask if they can sell you the bobbin for your machine. Better yet, find a local dealer who supports your particular machine's manufacturer. You may even find the appropriate bobbin online by searching:
Manufacturer + Model + the word "bobbin"

What size bobbins for model 3600?

Hello
There are many bobbin styles which still measure as you have indicated, however they do not "fit" correctly resulting in poor to no stitching.

Your local reputable sewing machine retailer will be able to provide the correct bobbins for your sewing machine 'make' and 'model'.

Happy stitching.

Won't sew! Loads of top thread bundles up around bobbin casing.

First... make sure you are threading it correctly. It MUST be threaded with the foot up.

Do a test seam. Make sure you put the presser foot DOWN when you sew.

Make sure you grasp and hold the bobbin and top threads as you begin the seam. (this is good practice for any seamstress on any machine.

If you still get loops, tighten top tension.

Also check the bobbin case for burrs. drag a finger nail along edges to feel for it catching. If you find one take a small bit of extra fine sand paper and file it off.

Good luck

Threading a bobbin on the new home 2014le

place spool of thread in , route it towards your bobbin holder, take thread and put through one hole about 4 inches hanging ontop. press it in and slide it to the right where you hear a click, hit the peddle, should be winding, it will automatically stop on its own when full. click it to the left when done, snip it and then drop that into your bobbin holder , cover your plate, thread your upper thread and presto you are now sewing with your threaded bobbin, always remember these steps. #1 material choice #2 thread weight #3 needle size. you got to match those 3 for beautiful perfect stitches.

I have a simplicity fashion pro model SW2145. everything is threaded right. The only problem i have is that when i touch the pressure foot the side knobs move but not the needle. I know that it is...

when you say bobbin switch do you mean that there is a switch to turn the bobbin on to start winding? or do you have to move the spindle that the bobbin goes on? It sounds like the disengage for the bobbin is stuck in place and won't let the machine run which would need a tech.
